Sunday 28th of June was Blackpool show, this year at a new venue. The weather wasn’t the greatest and the pathways round the showground were poor making pulling a heavy trolly loaded with grooming equiptment, bags, seats, etc, very hard. Upon finding our benches we discovered that the end one was covered in rain water, deeming it unusable, meaning we had to move our benching around a little. However, after all that fuss, a great days results were achieved under breed judge, Marion Sargent. For the second consecutive year, an Asterel puppy has made the puppy group shortlist at this show, handled by Rebecca Roberts. Last year it was Asterel Xudavnown (Braxton) who is now living in Oz. In July 2014, the first ever Estrela Mountain Dog will be exported to Australia when Asterel Xudavnown (Braxton) sets off from West Wales on his epic trip to join the Buckley family & the famous Toramis Kennel of Mastiffs in Virginia South Australia. We are so very proud to be the first people to send an Estrela to Australia, especially to people who intend to show him and promote the breed on the other side of the world. We wish Braxton and everyone who will be connected with him in Oz, the very best of luck.
